The Business Development Executive will generate new business sales opportunities. They will collaborate with department members and the leadership team to develop and implement plans to achieve stated sales goals. They will gather and analyze new market and customer information to identify demand for ACT products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies. The Business Development Executive will engage prospective and current clients in an energetic, professional, and positive manner through various brand marketing and promotional efforts to grow business and help the company expand. They will regularly update the leadership team with reports on all business projects.
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Proactively generate, identify, qualify, and negotiate new business from prospects (primarily within healthcare providers)
Consistently achieve monthly/quarterly/annual targeted sales quota
Prospect, qualify, and close technical solution sales
Manage CRM tool/Pipeline
Maintain designated number of appointments weekly in various phases of the sales cycle
Develop customer presentations and participate in customer meetings
Develop clear, specific, action-oriented account plans to develop prospects
Establish network of individuals who will identify and refer potential customers to ACT IT
Attend industry network functions such as breakfast, lunch and after work events
Identify industry group membership which could yield opportunities for new business
Gather and analyze information to identify new markets and clients, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
Create material that increases brand awareness, drive sales, and generate new business leads.
Engage prospective and current clients in an energetic, professional, and positive manner through various brand marketing and promotional efforts.
Strategize and execute social media plans.
Conduct pricing research and analysis to ensure competitive product and service pricing.
Negotiates contracts for services needed to execute a marketing strategy.
Communicates production information, progress, and changes to affected to leadership.
Collaborates, participates in, and coordinates promotional activities or trade shows.
Maintains knowledge of trends and developments in the market; identifies needs for new products and services and makes recommendations to leadership.
Develop and apply full understanding of ACT products and sales methodology
Optimize our marketing automation and lead nurturing processes through email, content, and social channels.
Establish closed-loop analytics with sales to understand how our inbound marketing activity turns into customers, and continually refine our process to convert customers.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Bachelors degree in business administration, or similar field required
At least 5 years experience solution selling in the technology industry
Sales experience in the MSP space
Experience selling managed services
Follows a methodical sales process. (evaluation plans, email/phone cadence, networking)
Skilled in using tools such as CRM, Contact Databases, Social Media
Experience selling managed services
Effective user of internal and external resources (technical resources, partners, industry groups).
Proven track record of successful selling experience
Strong contact and networking base, preferably within healthcare industry and security compliance
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously while monitoring timelines

Must be able to sit prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
