Job Description

The Project Manager- Planning and Procurement is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects. The Project Manager will work to ensure that operations, processes and outcomes are in harmony with the organization’s goals. The Project Manager will work collaboratively across all departments and locations of the organization to help improve the management of the business processes. The Project Manager is responsible for the coordination and completion of strategic projects designed to impact the long-term future of their key North American locations. The Project Manager sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of organizational operations projects. Prepares reports for the Operations Manager regarding status of projects. The Project Manager will work with a variety of different teams, including production workers, to ensure that each product meets quality standards and is delivered on time. This is a hands-on job requiring excellent organizational skills; as well as the ability to communicate with personnel at all levels, to promote mutually beneficial business relationships.

The Project Manager is familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of strategic planning and creativity is necessary.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Assist with establishing policies and procedures relating to Operational process development and timelines needed for project completion. Develop and troubleshoot company operational process issues
• Assist with managing all operational projects, forecast / scheduling adjustments and any changes that will require special attention
• Develop and lead weekly operational project status meetings and reporting
• Liaison between Operations and Forecasting with regards to process improvement and the development of action plans to improve the forecasting process for better operational efficiencies.
• Work Closely with all operations departments to optimize development of annual and midyear budgets.
• Oversee and manage the back-order process with Monterrey
• Work with Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator to review items by needs daily and advise Monterrey of product delivery dates or direct breakdowns from other packages.
• Lead new customer set-up and on-boarding process
• Run various D365 reports as needed but not limited to Forecast vs sales, Billed, Open Order, Delivered, EOM Reports. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status and efficiency of projects
• Based on customer requirements work with supply chain to develop necessary packaging/display vehicles to meet project requirements
• Coordinate with supply chain to secure defined raw materials based on project requirements
• Understand all project needs to determine staffing needs to produce required items/displays
• Run Open Order Report
• Participate in procurement and related project meetings
• Maintain Project Procurement Plan and consult with Project Management on required purchases
• May be assigned to special projects and/or required to perform other duties not assigned, based on business needs.
• Acts as a liaison between Monterrey, MX and US.
• Work closely with Project Manager on customer focused projects

Requirements:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent Interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task

• Consumer packaged goods experience
• Microsoft D365 & Power BI a plus
• BA/BS Degree in Business or related field
• 3-5 Years Project Management experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience working with manufacturing-based technology, processes, and principles
• P&L knowledge and understanding
• Multi-tasking and coordinate project with changing priorities
• Strong Mathematical skills
• Work independently and within a team environment
• Some travel required (+/- 5%)
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
• Product development, prototype, and design and/or product launch a plus
• This role requires an in-depth understanding of and hands-on working knowledge of Operations
