Job Description

We have been engaged by of one of our incredible client partners to assist them in hiring a Technical Support Specialist. 

Working directly with the VP of IT, we are assured timely feedback and excellent communication throughout the process. 

ROLE: IT Support Technician
LOCATION: Onsite/Hybrid Dayton, OH

NOTE: This role is not open to contractors and there is no visa sponsorship at this time. 

In this incredible opportunity you will: 

  • Use your understanding of hardware, OS, and common software applications to troubleshoot issues, configure systems, and resolve software issues.
  • Using your knowledge of current networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and routing to troubleshooting and support network connectivity issues. 
    Conduct hardware diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades. 
  • Perform software installations and troubleshoot and resolve software issues and errors.
  • Possess a common understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices including knowledge of general practices for malware prevention and data security.
  • Respond to end user support requests for hardware, software, peripheral, mobile device, and VOIP phone issues for both onsite and remote users
  • Stay current with industry certifications such as CompTIA A+ and Security+  and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth.

Education - Certifications
  • University degree preferred
  • Mix of certifications similar to the following: in CompTIA A+, Network +, Security+, Microsoft 365 or similar are a plus.
Experience Required: 
  • Windows 10 / Windows 11 operating system.
  • Server 2012 / Server 2019 / Server 2022 operating system.
  • Utilizing on premise Active Directory to create and manage user accounts.
  • Knowledge of Cloud VOIP phone systems and related hardware.
  • Experience installing and configuring, deploying desktop and laptop PCs, mobile devices, and peripherals such as printers and conference room equipment.
  • Experience with installing cabling to workstation
