Our client is a highly regarded Engineering, Procurement, and Construction firm whose portfolio includes a wide range of projects: gas turbine, biomass, solar, wind, biofuel, as well as industrial and environmental facilities.

NOTE: We have a strong relationship within the PMO and Executive Leadership of this EPC Firm. 


We are currently recruiting a Project Accountant to join our client's Project Team.

This position holds great importance within the team, serving as a key intermediary between the project site and the accounting department at the home office. We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated individual who possesses excellent time management skills and is comfortable working with various technologies.


This is a full-time staff position offering OUTSTANDING benefits and PTO. 

Initial project is in the Youngstown, OH area and the near term expectation to be onsite. Generous per diem allowances are provided for travel to client sites.


The role entails overseeing accounting and payroll tasks on the project site, while also ensuring that the home office receives necessary purchase orders, receiving documentation for payment, and procurement details to facilitate the identification of dependable suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilize ADP to process, reconcile, and generate reports for weekly payroll of craft/hourly personnel.
  • Prepare journal entries and compile supporting documentation for craft payroll.
  • Contribute to employee onboarding and offboarding procedures.
  • Process manual payroll checks, when necessary, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Coordinate additional payroll activities or runs as required.
  • Manage and reconcile bank accounts specific to the jobsite.
  • Review, verify, and submit expense reports for jobsite employees.
  • Generate and submit purchase/change orders to vendors through DocuSign.
  • Enter purchase orders, change orders, and invoices into accounting software (Sage 300 and TimberScan).
  • Perform three-way matching for accounts payable (AP) invoices associated with the jobsite.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for the home office, including rental log, purchase order log, and certificates of insurance.
