Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Virtual Chief Information Officer (vCIO) to join our team. As a vCIO, you will be responsible for providing strategic technology guidance, developing IT roadmaps, and delivering comprehensive IT solutions to our clients. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, collaborating with their executive teams to align technology with their business goals. This position  offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with diverse clients across various industries.

 

Responsibilities include the following:

 

Client Engagement:

Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, and working with them on all technology-related matters.

Conduct regular meetings with clients' executive teams to understand their business objectives and identify opportunities for technology improvements.

Collaborate with clients to develop IT strategies, aligning technology initiatives with their overall business goals.

IT Strategy and Roadmap Development:

With the technical team, you will review assessments of clients' current IT infrastructure, systems, and processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.

Develop a comprehensive IT plan/roadmap that outline clients’ short-term and long-term technology goals and initiatives.

Provide guidance on technology investments, budgeting, and resource allocation to support clients' strategic objectives.

Technology Planning and Implementation:

Advise clients on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, ensuring they stay ahead in a rapidly evolving IT landscape.

Develop and implement IT policies, standards, and procedures to ensure optimal security, compliance, and efficiency.

Oversee the deployment of IT solutions, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

IT Risk Management and Security:

Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in clients' IT environments and develop strategies to mitigate them.

Collaborate with clients to establish robust cybersecurity measures and incident response plans.

Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats and advise clients on proactive measures to protect their data and systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field experience

Proven experience in a similar vCIO or senior IT leadership role within an MSP or IT consulting environment.

In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, networking, and cybersecurity.

Strong business acumen and the ability to translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients at all levels.

Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering value-added IT solutions.

Industry certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or PMP are highly desirable.

Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a remote setting.
