Job Description

Our client, a prestigious law firm in the East Hanover are is currently looking for an Estate Administration Paralegal to join their firm. Great place to work as voted by their employees.

Responsibilities:
 Preparing drafts of Probate documents for the attorneys, such as applications, motions, notices, and inventories, filing pleadings and hearing documents, communications with court staff and clients, preparing correspondence, meeting with clients to notarize, witness and sign documents, and being able to handle responsibility for the case, making sure all deadlines are met
 Preparing Federal and state estate and inheritance tax returns
 Preparing estate and trust accountings
 Preparing appropriate release documents for estate distributions and assisting with transfers of estate property to beneficiaries
 Continuously review and update case progress and determine case closure, keeping matters
moving as seamless as possible
 Assist in keeping staff, attorney, and clients on-task
 Assist in preparing Elder Law, Guardianship and Business Incorporation documents
 Complete daily tasks and assignments independently with little supervision in a timely manner to meet deadlines
 Preparing drafts of Estate Planning documents for attorneys, including Wills, a variety of Trusts
and disability planning documents
 Communication with our clients, witnessing and notarizing documents, and being able to handle responsibility for the matter and manage the workflow in a timely manner

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3+ years relevant Estate Administration experience supporting a legal practice
required
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Kofax [Adobe]; knowledge of ONESOURCE or other estate
tax return software a plus
• Excellent organizational skills are critical
• The right candidate must have the ability to efficiently organize and prioritize numerous tasks
and complete them on time with attention to detail and accuracy
• Must be self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team member
• Strong research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse
attorneys, staff, and clients
• Must possess the ability to provide information with courtesy and tact while safeguarding
confidentiality
• Excellent grammar, proofreading, and English composition skills are also essential
• Must be enthusiastic, articulate, a quick-study, friendly, dependable, punctual, a team player
and thrive in a fast-paced environment
