Candidate must be a strong communicator diplomatic in writing abilities and has a willingness to learn. Someone who is solution based and about fixing the problem, not about focusing on assigning blame.
Job role will be focused in these key areas:
Orders are routed on time and correctly
Researching and staying updated with the customer requirements
Making sure new procedures are implemented
Confirms pickups from the assigned carriers (FedEx, UPS, etc)
Completes bills of lading and ensures inventory is loaded correctly
Ensures orders are completed on time (not waiting until the last minute to ship)
Communicating with the pick/pack team to ensure timeliness of orders
Candidate should have knowledge of full MS Office products
Needs to have an interest in how all aspects of their distribution center works - and can eventually develop a Macro level knowledge of the process flow
Can analyze what has worked and not worked to incorporate best practices
Willingness to understand and help in other departments in the distribution center when things are slow.
