Account Manager – Strategic Accounts (IT Staffing)
Job Description:
We’re partnered with a growing IT staffing and consulting firm that has built its business the right way—through strong client relationships, consistent delivery, and repeat business.
They’re looking to bring on an Account Manager to own and grow an existing client relationship, while also helping expand new opportunities over time. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys building long-term partnerships.
Location:
This role supports clients in Parsippany and Roseland, NJ, and requires 2–3 days/week onsite in Manalapan, NJ, with flexibility otherwise.
What You’ll Do:
- Own and grow a key existing account, expanding relationships and identifying new opportunities
- Act as the primary client contact, ensuring strong communication and satisfaction
- Drive account growth through upsell and cross-sell initiatives
- Collaborate with recruiting and delivery teams to ensure successful placements
- Support new business efforts through networking, referrals, and targeted outreach
- Maintain pipeline visibility and activity tracking through CRM tools
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience in IT staffing sales or account management
- Strong background in account growth, client management, and relationship ownership
- Exposure to new business development (without being purely outbound-focused)
- Solid understanding of technical staffing and hiring processes
- Strong communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, team-driven environment
