We’re working with an established client who is looking to hire an On-Site Bookkeeper to serve as the day-to-day financial presence within their business.
This is not a traditional back-office role.
You’ll be based full-time at the client site, working directly with ownership and staff, while being backed by an experienced external accounting firm that provides ongoing oversight, structure, and support. You’ll handle core accounting responsibilities while acting as the go-to resource for financial questions on-site.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in operational environments (construction, trades, manufacturing, etc.) and is comfortable working closely with business owners.
What You’ll Do
Day-to-Day Accounting
Own bookkeeping in QuickBooks Online (transactions, coding, reconciliations)
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Handle invoicing, collections, and vendor coordination
Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
Assist with payroll coordination and inputs
On-Site Operations
Act as the primary point of contact for day-to-day financial questions
Provide visibility into cash flow, payables, and receivables
Communicate proactively when something doesn’t look right
Bring structure and organization to a fast-moving environment
Collaboration & Support
Work closely with an external accounting partner for oversight and support
Follow established processes and best practices
Participate in regular check-ins and reviews
What We’re Looking For
Experience
5+ years of bookkeeping experience
Strong QuickBooks Online (QBO) experience (required)
Background in operational industries is a plus
Experience working directly with business owners or operators
Profile
Comfortable in fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environments
Self-directed with strong ownership mentality
Clear, direct communicator
Highly organized and detail-oriented
Reliable and consistent — this role is critical to daily operations
What Makes This Role Different
You’re the on-site financial presence, not just behind the scenes
Direct exposure to ownership and day-to-day operations
Backed by an experienced accounting team — guidance, structure, and support when needed
Opportunity to bring organization and make a real impact
Important Notes
Fully on-site (5 days/week)
Client-facing role
Active, operational environment — not a quiet back-office position
