Account Manager – AI-Forward Client Success (B2B Digital Marketing)
Remote - Local to NY/NJ/PA
We are conducting a confidential search on behalf of a B2B digital marketing agency client that works with complex, relationship-driven organizations. Our client is intentionally building an AI-augmented operating model, embedding AI directly into how client work is managed, communicated, and scaled.
The Role
Our client is seeking an AI-Forward Account Manager to own client relationships, ensure delivery excellence, and translate marketing activity into clear insights and recommendations. This is a high-ownership client success role for someone who thinks clearly under pressure, communicates calmly with clients, and already uses AI tools as part of their daily workflow. This role serves as the connective tissue between clients, strategy, and execution teams.
Key Responsibilities
Own a portfolio of B2B client accounts; manage client communication, expectations, and satisfaction; translate marketing activity into outcomes and recommendations; coordinate work across strategy, production, and development teams; proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and growth opportunities; prepare client updates, recaps, and performance narratives; ensure clients feel informed and confident, even when results are still forming.
Use of AI
AI is a required part of this role. The Account Manager will use AI tools to summarize meetings and email threads, draft client recap emails and status updates (reviewed before sending), convert project or task activity into client-ready summaries, prepare QBR outlines and performance narratives, identify trends, risks, and gaps across accounts, and reduce manual reporting and repetitive administrative work. This role is not suited for someone who only experiments with AI occasionally.
Candidate Profile
3+ years of experience in account management, client services, or customer success (agency experience strongly preferred); strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage multiple clients and competing priorities; demonstrated professional use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.); comfort explaining performance to non-technical stakeholders; high ownership mindset with strong attention to detail.
Preferred Experience
B2B digital marketing; Asana or similar project management tools; CRM or analytics platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, AgencyAnalytics, etc.); experience building workflows, templates, or SOPs using AI.
