Job Description
Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with over 25 years of delivering top-tier defense litigation and insurance coverage services, is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join a dynamic Florida-based legal team. As an Associate Attorney, you’ll gain unparalleled, hands-on experience in securities litigation, FINRA arbitration, and professional liability defense—working directly with leading professionals, businesses, and financial institutions.
Unlike large firms where associates can get lost in the shuffle, our close-knit team ensures meaningful client interactions, courtroom opportunities, and the chance to truly sharpen your skills. This is an exciting opportunity to accelerate your growth and build your expertise in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will bring 2–4 years of civil litigation experience, with a focus on securities matters, FINRA arbitrations, and professional liability defense. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse legal matters, combining courtroom advocacy with in-depth legal analysis, all in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities: Represent clients in a variety of legal proceedings, including civil litigation and arbitration. Prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests, with precision and adherence to deadlines. Participate in mediations, depositions, hearings, and client meetings as required. Conduct detailed legal research and draft comprehensive memoranda and briefs. Develop and execute case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys. Interact with clients to provide updates, resolve concerns, and offer guidance. Ensure timely and accurate recording of billable hours in compliance with client guidelines.
Qualifications: Admitted to the Florida Bar. 3–5 years of civil litigation experience; FINRA arbitration or securities-related experience is a plus. Strong written and oral communication skills. Proficient in federal and state civil procedure rules. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines. Detail-oriented with excellent research and analytical abilities. Familiarity with legal technology, including case management software, LexisNexis, and billing tools. Team-oriented with a proactive and self-motivated approach to work.
Compensation and Schedule: Salary range: $100,000–$150,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Hybrid work schedule, offering flexibility to balance in-office collaboration and remote work. This is a rewarding position for a motivated attorney looking to grow their expertise in securities litigation, professional liability defense, and broader civil litigation practices. If you thrive in a challenging and supportive legal environment, we encourage you to apply.
