Job Description

Our client is hiring an Accounting Analyst in Atlanta, GA. This is a great opportunity to join the corporate accounting team of a fast-growing national specialty retailer with hundreds of stores across the country. The role owns a big piece of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting under GAAP and supports both store operations and the corporate support center. It’s a hybrid setup with four days in the office and flexible Fridays. Responsibilities:

• Handle month-end close tasks, including journal entries, general ledger reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations and rollforwards
• Prepare monthly and quarterly reporting and ad hoc analyses for senior management
• Research accounting issues and new standards, and answer accounting questions from stores and corporate departments
• Keep close and reporting documentation current to support internal controls, and work with internal and external auditors during audits

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 0 to 3 years of general ledger accounting experience (new grads welcome)
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls
• On the CPA track preferred, with strong attention to detail and communication skills
