This commercial and technical leadership role is responsible for identifying, developing, and securing business opportunities involving complex, regulated waste streams—with a particular emphasis on radioactive and radiological materials.

The position operates at the intersection of environmental compliance, logistics, and strategic sales, delivering tailored solutions across industries such as energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, healthcare, research institutions, remediation projects, and government programs.

Success in this role requires deep knowledge of regulatory environments governing radioactive materials, combined with the ability to structure compliant, cost-effective service strategies for high-risk and specialized waste streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive growth by originating and advancing opportunities related to regulated and radiological materials management
  • Build and maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline across industrial, institutional, and public-sector clients
  • Engage directly with organizations generating or managing radioactive materials, including licensed facilities and remediation programs
  • Design and recommend compliant treatment, transportation, and disposal pathways
  • Develop pricing models, proposals, and negotiated agreements aligned with regulatory and operational requirements
  • Lead complex pursuits, coordinating across technical, operational, legal, and commercial stakeholders
  • Serve as a subject matter liaison between client decision-makers and internal technical experts
  • Analyze market conditions, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics to inform go-to-market strategy
  • Support onboarding of new clients, ensuring seamless execution and compliance alignment
  • Deliver presentations and solution briefings to executive and technical audiences
  • Manage contract negotiations, including risk considerations and regulatory obligations
  • Maintain familiarity with evolving environmental regulations, especially those governing radioactive materials handling, classification, transport, and disposal
  • Travel as needed to client sites, industry events, and operational facilities

Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with radioactive or radiologically impacted materials, including handling, transportation, or disposal frameworks
  • Background in environmental services, waste management, industrial compliance, or a related technical-commercial field
  • Familiarity with regulatory structures governing radioactive materials (e.g., DOT, NRC, or equivalent frameworks)
  • Experience supporting government or regulated-sector procurement processes is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of transport logistics (rail and/or trucking) for hazardous and radioactive materials
  • Proven ability to originate and close complex, high-value opportunities
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to operate effectively across technical and commercial domains
