Human Resources Manager

Our client is a multi-billion-dollar, Fortune 500, global diversified industrial. The HR Manager will need to be a dynamic, world-class HR leader who can build employee relationships and drive continued growth for this complex non-union business. A strong HR background in world-class manufacturing and organizational development is preferred. The role will be based onsite.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan, organize, and direct HR-related activities to meet or exceed established goals in a cost-effective manner

• Lead, communicate, and coach to cultivate a motivated associate environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership

• Prepare all required reports and correspondence

• Develop, implement, and monitor department budget and manage expenses within approved budget constraints

• Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement

• Stay up to date on overall activities of the team, identify problem areas, and take corrective actions

• Collaborate with other HR associates to drive consistent process excellence across Human Resources in areas such as talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, rewards and recognition, associate engagement, associate and leadership development, succession planning, communications, etcetera

• Assist leaders in defining and executing workforce planning to ensure appropriate staffing levels

• Proactively work with external firms/agencies to prepare for future vacancies

• Manage talent acquisition process for all positions

• Assist in establishing and supporting HR-specific performance metrics

• Establish performance monitoring and assessment and reward processes, ensuring processes and tools are understood and fully utilized

• Collaborate with leaders in upgrading the skills and capabilities of associates through identification, development, and retention of talent

• Drive talent review and management processe,s including succession planning for key roles

• Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and employment law,s including an Affirmative Action Plan

• Conduct investigations and advise leaders in the appropriate resolution of associate-related issues

• Manage and interpret policies and practices within the facilities, ensuring fair and consistent application

• Provide leadership and focus on the people implications of organizational change

• Communicate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

• Other tasks as assigned

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business

• Five to eight years of human resources experience in a manufacturing environment

• Two years of management experience preferred but not required

• Thorough understanding of employment laws and regulations

• Unquestionable integrity and ability to work in a highly confidential environment

• PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certifications preferred

• Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task

• Innovative team player

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Commitment to excellence and high standards

• Sound judgment with the ability to make timely, and sometimes difficult, decisions

• Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines

• Able to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

• Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities
