The Role We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Northern MS. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing assigned manufacturing processes, reviewing process controls, and driving continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen methodologies. You will play a critical part in cell layouts, setup reduction (SMED), and waste reduction to improve overall productivity and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Lead the implementation of process and product changes at the plant level, ensuring all project timelines, quality standards, and budget targets are met.
Industrialization: Manage the "Ramp Up" phase for new equipment and tooling, including budgeting, purchasing, and setup.
Process Optimization: Develop efficient workflows and layouts while reviewing mold and secondary fixture designs to ensure compatibility with existing standards.
Technical Oversight: Authorize engineering change notices, manage equipment spare parts inventory, and support the integration of robotic and injection molding systems.
Systems & Compliance: Utilize SAP for workflow management and ensure all processes meet IATF and VDA standards, as well as APQP, PPAP, and ISO requirements.
Lifecycle Management: Monitor and control the Product Lifecycle at the plant level, coordinating between Engineering, Quality, Logistics, and Production.
What You Will Do:
Analyze and validate project risks and establish ROI measurements.
Identify and resolve production bottlenecks for existing and new interior systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers to manage customer-specific requirements.
Train technical and production staff on standardized processing methods.
Support plant safety protocols and maintain records for primary molds and secondary equipment.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
Experience: At least 3 years of experience in a similar role within the transport sector.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, SAP Workflow, and the MS Office Suite.
Specialized Knowledge: Direct experience with Injection Molding and Fanuc robotics is required.
Standards: Familiarity with PPAP and ISO/TS16949 compliance.
Attributes: Strong project management skills and the ability to build favorable relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
