
Sr. Civil Engineer – EPC Projects
Location: Little Rock, AR
A leading industrial construction and engineering firm is hiring a seasoned civil engineering professional to oversee major EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) initiatives in the metals and minerals sector. This role involves managing the full scope of civil and structural engineering activities for large-scale projects such as smelters, refineries, and heavy industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the technical authority for civil and structural engineering across multi-billion-dollar EPC projects.
- Lead the development, review, and approval of engineering deliverables including structural designs, calculations, specifications, and construction documentation.
- Coordinate closely with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure project alignment and integration.
- Manage external consultants and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budget constraints, and timelines.
- Serve as the primary civil engineering liaison with clients and project stakeholders.
- Resolve technical challenges during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Uphold high standards of health, safety, environmental compliance, and constructability across all civil works.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in civil/structural engineering, including at least 8 years leading EPC projects in heavy industry.
- Deep expertise in geotechnical design, foundations, concrete and steel structures, and heavy industrial earthworks.
- Advanced proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Tekla Structures, or similar platforms.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and decision-making capabilities.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Primarily office-based with extended periods of computer use.
- Occasional physical activity including walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Site visits may involve exposure to construction environments, including noise, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment may be required during site inspections.
