Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Location Options:

  • Greater Medina, OH Area   OR
  • 30 miles Southeast of Dallas, TX

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead engineering and process improvement initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing environment focused on vinyl and metal products. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, optimizing production systems, and implementing advanced automation technologies.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers across manufacturing, process, and maintenance disciplines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient and safe plant operations.
  • Provide strategic direction for process optimization and equipment upgrades.

Process & Equipment Optimization

  • Oversee vinyl extrusion, metal roll-forming, and finishing operations.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives to improve throughput and reduce waste.
  • Manage installation and commissioning of new production equipment.

Automation & Advanced Manufacturing

  • Must have experience with electrical control systems, including:
    • Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
    • Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
    • Sensors and automation technologies
  • Must have experience with robotics and automated material handling systems to enhance production efficiency and reduce manual labor.

Tooling & Product Launch

  • Must have deep knowledge of tooling design and maintenance for extrusion dies and roll-forming equipment.
  • Support product development teams in scaling new products to full production.
  • Lead tooling modifications and validation processes.

Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure adherence to OSHA and environmental regulations.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, industrial, or related field); Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in vinyl extrusion and/or metal roll-forming.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Familiarity with ERP/MES systems.
  • Experience with robotics integration and automated material handling.
  • Expertise in electrical controls and automation systems.
  • Proficiency in tooling design and maintenance for extrusion and roll-forming.
