Human Resources Business Partner – Greater Toledo Area
A dynamic manufacturing organization in the greater Toledo region is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to join its HR team. This role is embedded within the company’s production operations and works closely with site leadership and employees to foster a strong workplace culture, support talent development, and ensure compliance with HR policies and practices.
The HR Business Partner will be responsible for a broad range of human resources functions, including employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, performance management, and recordkeeping. The position plays a key role in aligning HR strategies with business objectives and supporting a positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion core organizational values such as safety, ethics, collaboration, and inclusion.
- Execute HR processes with precision to support workforce development and business growth.
- Collaborate with supervisors and managers on daily HR matters and partner with recruitment teams to attract top talent.
- Provide guidance on policy interpretation and regulatory compliance.
- Foster strong working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and reporting.
- Stay informed on employment law updates and trends affecting the workplace.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- 5–9 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of HR disciplines including recruitment, employee engagement, and labor relations.
- Familiarity with federal and state employment laws and benefit regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Willingness to travel up to 15% as needed.
