Job Description

Our client is a Fortune 250 organization; they are a diversified industrial manufacturer of technologies and systems for numerous markets. They are known for developing and promoting from within as well as having a robust culture of Lean manufacturing.

The Applications Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support/field applications, system design and product development/enhancement to customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in the industrial manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

- Provide technical support to customers and sales teams
- Design and test new products
- Manage projects from conception to completion
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success
- Analyze customer requirements and provide solutions
- Prepare technical reports and presentations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (BSME, EE, etc)
- 5+ years of experience in the industrial manufacturing industry
- Strong technical background in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Proven experience in a commercial/technical product role (e.g., sales engineer, product manager, or applications engineer).
- Experience working with or in distribution channel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills
- 40% travel required
