Job Description
The Commodity Manager for Solenoids & Electronics will be responsible for managing and optimizing the procurement process for solenoids and electronics components. This role requires strong supplier negotiation skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the best value and quality in sourcing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for solenoids and electronics components to meet company objectives.
- Analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost drivers to make informed sourcing decisions.
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and innovation capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings and value optimization.
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to align procurement strategies with product development and manufacturing needs.
- Monitor and report on commodity market trends and potential impacts on supply chain and cost.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
What we are seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commodity management, procurement, or supply chain roles, specifically in solenoids and electronics.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Knowledge of electronics and solenoid components and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
