Job Description
Overseeing OEM sales for the Midwest region (IL, WI, IA, MN, ND, SD) this Regional Sales Manager role requires an experienced sales professional with a strong background in the plastics industry, particularly in plastic extrusion products. The successful candidate will develop and execute strategic sales plans and manage key customer & distributor relationships.
The Opprtunity:
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual strategic sales plans and budget.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with key clients, distributors, and industry stakeholders to increase market penetration and enhance brand visibility.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive activities to adapt sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, participate in trade shows, and conduct product presentations to drive awareness and sales.
- Utilizing Salesforce CRM, prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports to senior management, identifying areas for improvement and growth.
- Meet with customers on a regular basis (in person and remotely) to develop deep relationships, understand requirements and communicate opportunities
What we are seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in sales account management in plastics, preferrably in plastic extrusion.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share in a competitive environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel 50-60%
