Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced HR Compliance Manager to join their team in Cleveland, OH. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring our organization adheres to all relevant employment laws and regulations, maintaining a compliant and ethical work environment. This role requires strong skills in employee relations, investigations, and HR compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and maintain HR compliance policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate HR-related risks through policy reviews, audits, training, and proactive monitoring.
- Develop and maintain a robust compliance framework, including tracking programs and internal controls to meet organizational needs.
- Champion a culture of compliance and ethical behavior by promoting awareness and understanding throughout the company.
- Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations issues and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Manage relationships with external vendors, ensuring compliance reporting and support services align with business objectives.
- Advise management on compliance matters and provide training to staff on HR compliance topics.
- Collaborate with legal and other departments to address compliance-related concerns.
- Prepare and present regular reports on HR compliance status and trends.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree and / or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with a focus on strategic HR roles including compliance, risk management, and workforce analytics. Global experience a plus.
- Proven track record of conducting complex investigations and managing employee relations issues
- HR Genearlist experience in a manufcturing organization.
- Experience managing external vendors and developing effective partnerships.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities and ability to work independently.

Preferred Skills:

- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR).
- Experience in a similar industry or company size.
