Job Description
Our client is a privately held, global manufacturing company in the automotive industry, having been in business for over 100 years. The Company is a strategic supplier to leading OEMs such as John Deere, Polaris, Husqvarna, etc., has 4 manufacturing locations and over 4,000 employees.
The Opportunity:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the corporate accounting department.
- Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Manage and coordinate all corporate tax activities, including compliance, planning, and reporting.
- Utilize JD Edwards (JDE) software for financial reporting, general ledger management, and other accounting functions.
- Develop and implement internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial information and safeguard company assets.
- Coordinate and assist with the annual audit process, including working with external auditors.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
What we are seeking:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate accounting, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in JD Edwards (JDE) software.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
