Manufacturing Operations Manager – Ventura, CA

With a passion for people and a safety-first mindset, the Manufacturing Operations Manager will partner with the Plant Manager to lead all initiatives related to production operations. This position is key to ensuring efficient processes, exceptional product quality, and a culture of continuous improvement.

We’re seeking a strategic leader with a solid understanding of lean manufacturing principles, a track record of high-performance team leadership, and a creative approach to operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage manufacturing projects and production workflows to meet and exceed output goals.

  • Develop strategies to boost efficiency, cut costs, and ensure product consistency and quality.

  • Promote and enforce a strong safety culture across all teams.

  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and initiate improvement plans where needed.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to enhance processes and solve production issues.

  • Oversee maintenance schedules and equipment performance to reduce downtime and improve reliability.

  • Manage operational budgets, staffing, and timelines to achieve productivity targets.

  • Inspire and cultivate a mindset of innovation and continuous improvement across all levels of the manufacturing team.

  • Mentor and develop staff to support personal growth and build organizational capability.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Equivalent experience (8+ years) in a progressive manufacturing operations role will also be considered.

  • Minimum 5 years in manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in leadership or project-based roles.

  • Strong background in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement tools, and modern production practices.

  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills with a proven ability to build and maintain engagement.

  • Analytical and strategic thinker with proactive problem-solving abilities.

  • Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software; ability to leverage data for decision-making.

  • P&L ownership experience is preferred; working knowledge of plant financials is required.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with multiple concurrent priorities.
