Job Description

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Manager with expertise in plastics extrusion and extensive knowledge of Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) and ISO certifications. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality across all stages of production, maintaining compliance with industry regulations, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company's quality management system (QMS) in accordance with ISO standards.
- Oversee and manage the PPAP process to ensure all new products meet customer specifications and quality requirements.
- Monitor and analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure consistent quality in plastics extrusion.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits to ensure compliance with ISO certifications and other regulatory requirements.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action processes to address and resolve quality issues.
- Train and mentor quality assurance staff and production team members on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and supply chain, to drive quality improvements and achieve organizational goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to quality management activities.
- Manage customer complaints and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

What we are seeking:
- Bachelor's or Associates degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality management role within the plastics extrusion industry.
- In-depth knowledge of PPAP and ISO certification processes.
- Strong understanding of quality control methodologies, including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Certification in Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
