Manufacturing Engineer-Pennsylvania
We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer in the Somerset, PA area to help grow our production line and lead all engineering projects associated with it. Responsibilities for Manufacturing Process Engineer:
- Drive improvement projects across the value stream to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.
- Write procedures, investigate, establish protocols, and report change controls to support client programs.
- Apply engineering principles and practices to a variety of assignments and develop creative solutions to complex problems.
- Work with manufacturing automation engineers, product engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to develop requirements and recommendations for large, complex processes and systems.
- Plan, conduct, or coordinate engineering analyses and tests.
- Provide day-to-day production support where needed.
- Create, modify, and manage bills of materials.
- Provide technical leadership and ownership of assigned unit operations.
- Manage change control for assigned projects.
- Identify and initiate process improvements in conjunction with the Product Engineering team.
- Collaborate with production, automation, and project engineering groups on process improvement projects.
Qualifications for Manufacturing Process Engineer:
- Strong equipment and mechanical knowledge.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to make and implement decisions.
- Self-motivated, with a results-oriented attitude.
- Knowledge of CNC-controlled equipment.
- SolidWorks/AutoCAD experience, while not essential, would be an advantage.
- Must be a team player with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Develop and submit justifications for capital equipment projects to support areas within manufacturing related to the products and processes mentioned above.
- Exposure to and application of lean and Six Sigma tools (value stream mapping, 5S, flow, pull).
- BS in science/engineering required.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or other Engineering field of study.
- 1–3 years of experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Project).
