Summary
Our client, a top aviation services provider is looking to add a Quality Inspector to their team. The Quality Inspector will perform inspections of aircraft engine parts, articles, and components to ensure product quality in accordance with company, customer and FAA guidelines. The goal is to meet all current regulatory requirements and exceed customer expectations. The role involves collaboration with team members, including peers, leads, supervisors, and managers, to develop and execute metrics related to the quality and maintenance department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to FAA guidance to ensure sufficient traceability of inspected products and prevent counterfeit or suspect parts from entering inventory.

Product Certification: Maintain a basic understanding of product certification from Production Approval Holders and airworthiness certification for products returning to service.

Inspection Tasks: Perform various inspections including document reviews, visual inspections, and other testing.

Technical Data Review: Examine technical and regulatory data such as Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, FAA Orders, and Code of Federal Regulations.

Measurement and Testing: Utilize calibrated measurement and test equipment, including digital micrometers, pin gauges, digital height gauges, and digital calipers.

Work Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with Purchase Order instructions, Repair Order instructions, customer instructions, and relevant specifications and standards.

Flexibility: Be adaptable and assist within various business units as needed.

Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma
- A&P Certification
- At least 3 years of experience working in an MRO environment
- IA certification highly preferred
