The role

As a Civil Site Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of civil construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supervising site operations, construction crews, plant and subcontractors.
• Planning and coordinating daily and weekly work programmes.
• Overseeing earthworks, drainage, roading and general civil construction.
• Managing resources to achieve production targets and project milestones.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Monitoring site productivity, quality and project progress.
• Ensuring health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Liaising with project managers, engineers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Maintaining site records, reporting and construction documentation.
• Identifying and resolving site challenges before they affect delivery.

What you'll bring

• Proven experience supervising civil construction projects.
• Strong understanding of bulk earthworks, land development, drainage and infrastructure construction.
• Excellent leadership and people management skills.
• Ability to programme works and manage multiple activities on site.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications and quality requirements.
• A practical understanding of plant, equipment and construction methodologies.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Commitment to delivering projects safely and efficiently.
• Full NZ driver's licence.
• Relevant civil qualifications would be advantageous, but proven site experience, practical knowledge and the right attitude are equally important.
