Service Technician – Industrial Air Compressors

Location: Auckland

Salary: $40–$50 per hour + Company Vehicle + Overtime

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced Service Technician to join a respected business specialising in industrial compressed air systems. This is a field-based role where you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, installing, and repairing a wide range of air compressors and associated equipment across commercial and industrial customer sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, working independently, and building strong relationships with customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair industrial air compressors and compressed air equipment.
  • Install and commission new compressor systems, dryers, filters, air receivers, piping, and associated equipment.
  • Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and emergency breakdown work.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using technical drawings, schematics, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete service reports, job sheets, and maintenance documentation accurately.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and spare parts inventory.
  • Deliver a high level of customer service and provide technical advice where required.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company and client health and safety procedures.
  • Attend customer sites throughout the region as required.

About You

We're interested in hearing from candidates with experience in industrial servicing or similar industries, including:

  • Industrial Air Compressor Technicians
  • Mechanical Fitters
  • Industrial Electricians
  • Diesel Mechanics
  • Maintenance Technicians
  • HVAC or Refrigeration Technicians

To be successful you'll have:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with electrical fault-finding experience.
  • Experience servicing industrial equipment or rotating machinery.
  • The ability to interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your workload.
  • A current Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
