Lining Technician / Operator – Civil & 3 Waters

323 Recruitment is proud to be working on behalf of a leading Civil and 3 Waters contractor based in Auckland. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, our client is seeking an experienced Lining Technician / Operator to join their team in a full-time role based in Waitakere / West Auckland.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and practical operator to join a respected civil infrastructure company delivering high-quality 3 Waters and pipeline rehabilitation works across the Auckland region.

About the Role

As a Lining Technician / Operator, you will be involved in the installation, operation, and maintenance of PVC lining systems across a range of civil infrastructure and 3 Waters projects. You will work closely with supervisors, operators, labourers, and wider project teams to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required project specifications.

This role would suit someone with proven experience in PVC lining, pipeline rehabilitation, drainage, or civil infrastructure works who takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces, pipelines, and work areas for PVC lining installation
• Install PVC liners in accordance with project specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements
• Operate specialist PVC lining equipment, machinery, and associated plant
• Assist with pipeline rehabilitation, drainage, and 3 Waters infrastructure works
• Carry out routine maintenance, checks, and basic repairs on lining equipment
• Monitor quality throughout the lining process and identify any issues or defects
• Work closely with supervisors, operators, labourers, and wider construction teams
• Maintain accurate records, site documentation, QA checks, and daily reports
• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures on site
• Support the successful delivery of projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a PVC Lining Technician, Lining Operator, Drainage Operator, or similar civil infrastructure role
• Experience working within civil construction, 3 Waters, drainage, pipeline rehabilitation, or utilities
• Strong technical ability and confidence operating specialist lining equipment
• Knowledge of PVC lining techniques, materials, equipment, and safety requirements
• A practical understanding of site safety, confined spaces, and civil construction processes
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A positive attitude, reliable work ethic, and willingness to be hands-on
• A valid driver’s licence
• Relevant tickets, endorsements, confined space, WTR, or drainage experience would be advantageous
