Excavator Operator - Waikato Region

We’re looking for an experienced excavator operator to join a hardworking civil crew delivering drainage, earthworks, and water infrastructure projects across the Waikato.

This definitely isn’t a “sit in the cab all day” role. Everyone chips in where needed to get the job done, so we’re after someone with a good attitude who’s happy to work alongside the crew when required.

The work is varied and could include drainage, trenching, final trim, bulk earthworks, and general civil siteworks.

Key responsibilities:

• Operating 5T–30T excavators across civil projects
• Drainage and trenching work around underground services
• Final trim and bulk earthworks
• Assisting ground crews when required
• Carrying out daily machine checks and maintenance
• Working safely and efficiently with the wider crew

Skills and experience:

• 3+ years excavator operating experience in civil construction
• Strong drainage and trenching experience essential
• Experience operating larger machines from 5T–30T
• WTR endorsements preferred
• Good attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Strong awareness around health and safety
