Job Description

Licensed Surveyor | Waikato

A growing consultancy is looking for a Licensed Surveyor to join its Waikato team and play a key role across a strong pipeline of surveying, subdivision, infrastructure, and development projects.

This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys being involved across the full project lifecycle - working closely with developers, engineers, planners, councils, and clients to help deliver quality project outcomes.

You’ll be trusted to lead projects, provide technical expertise, manage client relationships, and contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Why This Role?

This is not a role where you’ll sit buried in layers of management.

You’ll have genuine influence across project delivery, client relationships, technical leadership, and the future direction of the surveying team.

The business has built a strong reputation through quality work, practical delivery, and strong relationships across the Waikato and Bay of Plenty region.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

Managing surveying and land development projects
Subdivision and boundary definition work
Working closely with developers, councils, planners, and engineers
Managing project delivery from initial planning through to completion
Providing technical leadership and surveying expertise
Supporting junior surveyors and wider project teams
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Ensuring quality, compliance, and delivery standards are maintained
Contributing to the growth and success of the business

What We’re Looking For

You’ll likely come from a consultancy or land development background with strong NZ surveying experience.

The ideal person will bring:

Licensed Cadastral Surveyor status or strong progress toward licensing
Strong surveying and project delivery experience
Confidence managing projects and clients
Strong communication and relationship management skills
A practical, solutions-focused approach
Strong understanding of NZ surveying standards and processes

What’s On Offer:

Competitive salary package depending on experience
Flexible working arrangements
Strong pipeline of work
Long-term career growth opportunities
Supportive and collaborative team culture
Opportunity to genuinely influence the direction of the business

If you’re looking for a role where you can genuinely make an impact, work on quality projects, and be part of a growing consultancy, we’d welcome a confidential conversation.

All enquiries and applications will be treated confidentially.
