A leading self-performing civil infrastructure contractor is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex civil projects across the Waikato region.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who thrives in high-performance environments, knows how to lead teams under pressure, and can confidently manage programme, commercial outcomes, risk, and stakeholder relationships across multiple projects simultaneously.

You’ll be trusted to lead from the front, drive standards, protect margins, and deliver projects the right way - safely, commercially, and professionally.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

• Leading the delivery of multiple civil infrastructure projects concurrently
• Managing project teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
• Protecting programme and critical path outcomes
• Commercial and contract management across project delivery
• Managing procurement strategy and subcontractor performance
• Driving strong safety leadership and risk management culture
• Ensuring quality assurance and compliance standards are maintained
• Building strong client, consultant, and stakeholder relationships
• Delivering accurate reporting, forecasting, and financial control
• Leading with accountability, consistency, and high standards

What We’re Looking For

You’ll likely come from a Tier 1 or large-scale civil infrastructure background and have experience delivering complex projects in fast-paced environments.

The ideal person will bring:

• Strong civil infrastructure project management experience
• Proven leadership managing large project teams
• Excellent commercial and contract management capability
• Strong understanding of programme management and project controls
• Confidence managing clients, consultants, and engineers
• Decisive leadership and strong communication skills
• A solutions-focused mindset under pressure
• BE Civil qualification or equivalent experience

Experience working on major infrastructure, roading, structures, utilities, or large-scale civil projects will be highly regarded.
