Senior Project Manager – Civil Infrastructure

We’re partnering with a well-established self-performing civil contractor delivering technically complex infrastructure projects across the South Island.

Their Christchurch operation has a strong secured pipeline, and they’re looking for a Senior Project Manager who is embedded in contractor delivery and comfortable leading large, live civil projects end-to-end.

This is not a client-side governance role. This is hands-on main contractor delivery.

If you enjoy complex wastewater and Three Waters builds, capable site teams and full ownership of programme and commercial outcomes, this is worth a conversation.

Your Impact

You’ll take ownership of significant civil infrastructure projects across Christchurch and the wider South Island, holding full responsibility for delivery in a live construction environment.

You won’t be micromanaged. You’ll be trusted to lead.

This role will see you:

• Leading large civil infrastructure projects as the contractor
• Holding full commercial accountability including variations and programme recovery
• Administering NZS 3910 contracts
• Managing subcontractors and self-perform crews
• Driving performance in fast-paced site environments

The Type of Person This Suits

You’re currently operating as a Senior Project Manager within a civil contractor environment and are comfortable being close to site.

You’ve recently delivered complex infrastructure projects such as wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, pipelines or major underground works and have owned programme, cost and subcontractor performance.

You’re confident operating under NZS 3910 and understand the realities of contractor-side delivery in high-pressure environments.
