We’re partnering with a well-established construction contractor delivering a strong pipeline of projects across the Bay of Plenty.
Due to continued growth in Tauranga, our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of project delivery, lead site teams, and drive successful outcomes across live construction projects.
This role suits a senior, site-focused Project Manager who leads from the front, is confident managing complexity, and takes accountability for programme, quality and performance.
As Senior Project Manager, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of construction projects, working closely with site leadership, subcontractors and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading site teams, subcontractors and consultants
• Owning construction methodology, programme and sequencing
• Managing delivery, quality, productivity and risk on site
• Overseeing cost control, reporting and forecasting with QS teams
• Driving strong health, safety and environmental outcomes
• Managing client relationships and stakeholder communication
• Ensuring compliance with plans, consents and contract requirements
• Leading project close-out, defects management and handover
You’ll bring strong senior-level construction delivery experience and the confidence to lead complex projects.
Ideally, you will have:
• Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager in construction
• Strong site-based leadership background
• Excellent programme management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage risk, quality and productivity under pressure
• Confident communication with clients, consultants and teams
• Trade background or construction / project management qualification
• New Zealand construction experience essential
• Senior Project Manager role with real delivery ownership
