About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record delivering structural and civil infrastructure projects. This includes bridges, tunnels, complex civil structures, and Three Waters projects, with particular strength in drinking water infrastructure.

This role will suit a technically capable and commercially minded Project Manager who enjoys taking ownership of projects from planning through to completion. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll play a key role in delivering challenging and rewarding infrastructure projects while building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of water, energy, civil and structural infrastructure projects

  • Manage project programmes, budgets and overall project performance

  • Develop and execute construction methodologies and delivery strategies

  • Coordinate Engineers, Supervisors and site teams to achieve successful outcomes

  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and project resources

  • Drive commercial performance, including forecasting, variations and cost control

  • Ensure health, safety, quality and environmental standards are consistently achieved

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and key stakeholders

  • Identify and manage project risks while ensuring projects are delivered safely and efficiently

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll ideally bring:

  • Proven experience delivering self-perform infrastructure projects as a Project Manager

  • Strong background across water, energy, civil and structural works

  • Sound understanding of construction methodologies, programme management and project controls

  • Strong commercial and financial management capability

  • The ability to lead teams and build positive working relationships across projects

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • A relevant civil engineering or construction qualification (preferred)

  • Previous New Zealand civil construction experience is essential
