We’re partnering with a well-established civil construction contractor delivering complex infrastructure projects across Auckland.

Due to continued workload and future pipeline, our client is seeking a Project Manager with proven self-performing civil construction experience to lead projects and take full ownership of delivery.

About the Role

You will be responsible for the full delivery of civil construction projects, leading teams onsite and managing methodology, cost and programme.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading self-perform civil projects onsite
• Managing programme, budgets, cost reporting and forecasting
• Planning construction methodology and sequencing
• Leading site teams, subcontractors and suppliers
• Managing variations, procurement and commercial outcomes
• Ensuring health & safety, quality and environmental compliance
• Liaising with clients, engineers and stakeholders
• Driving programme certainty and delivery excellence

About You

You’ll ideally bring:

• Proven experience as a Project Manager on self-perform civil projects
• Strong background in earthworks, drainage and civil infrastructure
• Solid construction methodology and sequencing knowledge
• Commercial confidence (cost control, variations, forecasting)
• Strong leadership presence on site
• Civil engineering or construction qualification preferred
• NZ civil construction experience essential
