What You'll Do

As a Senior Project Manager you'll:

• Lead end to end delivery of Three Waters and related infrastructure projects primarily in the Waikato region.
• Conduct project health reviews, implement improvements and manage risks from the outset.
• Oversee design enhancements, stakeholder and contractor coordination, asset commissioning and project closeout, including facilitating 'lessons learned' workshops.
• Drive innovation in project execution to meet regulatory, environmental and operational targets.
• Communicate effectively with clients, councils and community partners to maintain alignment and deliver quality outcomes.

• Proven leadership and technical expertise delivering three waters infrastructure projects as a Senior Project Manager
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead turnaround projects or challenging upgrades
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills especially across councils, contractors, and technical teams.
• A collaborative and adaptive leadership style: hands-on when needed, skilled at forming high-performance project groups.

Experience & Qualifications

• 8–12+ years’ experience in civil infrastructure with proven Senior PM delivery of Three Waters projects (treatment plants, pump stations, networks, outfalls, renewals or similar).
• Demonstrated track record turning around challenged projects and/or complex upgrades.
• Contract/commercial literacy (NZS 3910); confident with claims, variations, EOTs, payment schedules.
• Tertiary qualification in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Full NZ driver’s licence.
• Advantageous: Chartered/Professional accreditation (e.g., CPEng, PMP/PMI, PRINCE2, AIPM).
