About the Company
Our client is a Hawke’s Bay–based civil contractor with an exceptional track record delivering major land development and bulk earthworks projects across the region.

They’re well-known for their practical, hands-on approach, strong community ties, and commitment to high-quality outcomes. With a significant 18-month project kicking off in Wairoa, they’re seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery on the ground.

The Opportunity
You’ll take ownership of a regional project — managing operations, budgets, and people while ensuring deadlines, safety, and quality standards are met. This is a role where you’ll have genuine influence and visible results from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of a large earthworks project

• Oversee site performance, cost control, and commercial outcomes

• Lead subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to achieve key milestones

• Ensure strong safety, environmental, and quality compliance

• Maintain client relationships and local stakeholder engagement

• Report on progress, forecasting, and project performance

What You’ll Bring

• Proven experience managing large-scale civil projects (land development or bulk earthworks)

• Strong financial and contractual knowledge

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work regionally in Wairoa for the project’s duration

• Hands on experience a must due to the location of the project
