About the role – Drainlayer

We’re looking for an experienced Drainlayer with a background in deep drainage, sewer, stormwater, and potable water installs. You’ll work alongside a skilled crew delivering three waters infrastructure and subdivision projects across the region.

Experience working as a water technician or on water reticulation projects is a big advantage for this role.

This is a varied, hands-on position. One day you might be laying pipes, the next supporting roading or earthworks activities. We value team players who pitch in, stay reliable, and take pride in doing the job properly.

Key responsibilities

Lay and install sewer, stormwater, subsoil, and potable water pipelines to specification
Carry out trenching, bedding, backfilling, and QA in line with project plans
Maintain high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Support other civil works as required (roading, earthworks, operating machinery, etc.)
Work closely with supervisors, inspectors, and team members to keep jobs running smoothly

What we’re looking for

Experienced drainlayer with a background in deep drainage and three waters
Water technician / water reticulation experience highly regarded
Class 1 licence required (WTR endorsements an advantage)
Ability to operate a digger is helpful but not essential
Honest, reliable, and turns up ready to work
Able to read plans, work independently, and contribute as part of a team
Flexible and willing to take on a variety of site tasks
Open to learning, growing, and stepping into more responsibility over time
