Field Service Technician – Robotics & Automation

About the Role

We are seeking a Field Service Technician to join an established engineering business specialising in automation and robotic systems. This role provides the opportunity to work with advanced technology across a range of industries, both within New Zealand and overseas.

The position suits someone with a strong mechanical, electrical aptitude and a professional approach who is looking to develop their skills further. Full training will be provided on robotic systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and troubleshoot robotic and automation systems

• Provide on-site technical support for clients across food, beverage, and manufacturing sectors

• Undertake domestic travel throughout New Zealand and international assignments as required

• Deliver a high standard of customer service and represent the business professionally on-site

What We Offer

• $40 per hour, + Overtime: 1.5x after 40 hours, 2x on weekends

• Company vehicle available after approximately 12 months (subject to performance)

• $30 away allowance per night when travelling

What We’re Looking For

• Mechanical and electrical aptitude with a willingness to learn new technology

• Positive attitude and reliability in the field

• Trade qualification advantageous but not essential

• Flexibility to travel frequently within NZ and abroad

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
