We are seeking an experienced and motivated Supervisor to lead substation build and refurbishment projects across the Auckland region. This role is responsible for providing hands-on field-based supervision of teams to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards—meeting or exceeding project timelines and client expectations.
Oversee onsite and off-site work of team members, ensuring safe, timely, and quality completion in line with project specs.
Lead by example with a hands-on approach, providing technical support and mentoring.
Monitor performance and escalate risks or issues as needed.
Manage documentation, financial reporting, and ensure alignment to project schedules.
Ensure QA documentation is maintained.
Support continuous improvement initiatives and embed industry best practices.
Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Champion a safety-first culture and lead incident reporting and risk mitigation.
Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with clients, subcontractors, landowners, and local authorities.
Represent the company in a professional and solutions-focused manner.
Build a high-performing and motivated team aligned with business goals.
Ensure crews are trained, resourced, and equipped to meet operational demands.
Minimum 3 years’ supervisory experience in electrical infrastructure or substation construction.
Proven experience in high-voltage substation build or refurbishment is highly desirable.
Background in transmission or distribution environments preferred.
Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
Confident decision-maker with excellent communication abilities.
Understanding of PCBU responsibilities and field supervision best practices.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and shifting project priorities.
Trade certified with relevant registration.
Class 1 Driver’s License.
Fluent in written and verbal English.
