Job Title: Logistics General Ledger Support

Job Type: Permanent

Job Description:

The Logistics General Ledger Support is responsible for maintaining accurate and timely financial records through daily accounting activities, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes. This role ensures data integrity across logistics transactions and supports the finance team in preparing reports that reflect the company’s financial position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily accounting functions, including recording journal entries, monitoring transaction accuracy, and updating general ledger accounts
  • Conduct account reconciliations (e.g., bank, intercompany, accruals, prepaid, and other balance sheet accounts) to ensure all balances are accurate and properly supported
  • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, such as preparing journal entries, verifying supporting documentation, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies
  • Analyze and resolve discrepancies between the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers, ensuring all financial data aligns with operational records
  • Support the logistics accounting process, including cost allocations, freight accruals, and billing reconciliations
  • Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and documentation required for audits and internal reviews
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as operations and billing to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
  • Recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting workflows

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in logistics, transportation, or a related industry
  • Solid understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliation procedures
  • Experience with month-end closing and financial reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
  • Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
