Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Carrier Relations Assistant to join our Carrier Relations Department permanently. The successful candidate will support the team in managing relationships with carrier partners, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
-Monitor daily overrides by all staff and request missing documents.
-Communicate with outside insurance companies, agents, and carriers.
-Monitor email rejections from load scopes daily.
-Manage pending insurance expirations.
-Request exclusions/property not covered by the insurance agency.
-Request updated certificates listing exclusions.
-Solicit new carriers and qualify potential carriers.
-Research the carrier's history, safety, and insurance,s ensuring compliance.
-Retrieve all faxes and emails. Update in our system as instructed.
-Verification of insurance and obtaining insurance for all new and/or reinstated carriers.
-Analyze MC checks as they come in. Respond immediately as to whether or not the carrier qualifies or what documents are needed for reinstatement.
-Monitor MC and Contract Log. Make sure all MC checks and decisions are logged daily; all contract amendments, regardless if approved or denied,d must be logged.
-Run and analyze the CW-Assign/JTS Watch/Drayage Reports weekly.
-Enter available trucks every morning as they come in via email.
-Prepare the carrier list for departments as requested.
-Enter, scan, and sort new carrier contracts as needed.
-Learn and keep educated on state and federal regulations and policies that will impact our industry.
-Send hand-written thank you notes monthly to all new carriers.
-Work with other divisions on projects as assigned.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in managing data.
- Basic understanding of logistics and carrier operations (preferred).
- Previous experience in a similar role or related field (preferred).
