Position: Permanent Carrier Sales (Heavy Haul)

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Freight Dispatcher with a strong background in heavy haul logistics. This individual will play a key role in quoting market-competitive rates, managing specialized equipment loads, and ensuring smooth coordination between carriers, clients, and internal teams. Key Responsibilities:
-Source and negotiate market rates for heavy haul and over-dimensional freight
- Build and manage loads using a Transportation Management System (TMS)
- Coordinate and dispatch freight on specialized equipment (RGN, flatbeds, stretch trailers, etc.)
- Track and trace loads in transit, ensuring on-time pickup and delivery
- Provide professional, timely communication with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders
- Develop and maintain strong carrier relationships, identifying reliable partners for specialized moves
- Generate and manage shipping paperwork, including BOLs, permits, rate confirmations, etc.
- Monitor and manage load status updates, proactively resolving issues or delays
- Maintain accurate data entry and reporting using TMS and Excel/spreadsheet tools
- Collaborate with leadership to identify and lead continuous improvement efforts in dispatch and logistics processes
- Demonstrate strong multi-tasking capabilities while managing a high volume of loads
- Ensure all activities are compliant with DOT, state, and federal regulations

Required Skills:
- 3+ years of freight dispatch experience, with a strong focus on heavy haul / over-dimensional freight
- Proven experience with TMS platforms (e.g., McLeod, MercuryGate, AscendTMS, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Positive, solution-oriented attitude with the ability to work under pressure and adapt in a dynamic environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously
- Self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of freight regulations, permits, and specialized equipment a strong plus
