Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transportation and delivery of goods to ensure timely and efficient service. The Logistics Dispatcher will work closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers to plan and execute logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Driver/Customer Support:
- Proactively help drivers or customers work through problems.
- Work closely with drivers, managers, other staff, and customers to ensure seamless communication and operation.
- Regular communication by phone, email, and electronic devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues for assigned drivers.
- Be the key to ensuring efficient, on-time deliveries with quick, strategic decisions.
- Issue and document lumpers to drivers. Maintain clear records - Manage and guide drivers to proper channels for breakdowns and accidents.
2. McLeod Workflow
- Safely dispatch a driver via workflow.
- Be able to remove and plan drivers on orders when needed. Recoveries
- Update driver arrivals and departures within workflow to ensure all information is up to date and accurate for the following shift
- Communicate all load-specific load plan requirements with drivers when needed.
- PTA updates as needed
- Run boards continuously to be sure service and safety standards are met.
- Identify service failures, and communicate issues via after-hours documents
- Workflow accuracy and compliance.
3. Customer Success
- Keep customers and brokers updated on any issues, or delays causing missed pickups, deliveries, or detention.
- Record detention, and lumpers and maintain accurate charge records.
4. Other Duties
- Assigned and as business needs change
