Job Description: Logistics Planner
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and coordination of all logistics activities, including inventory management, transportation, and warehousing.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics strategies and plans to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of stock
- Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and other logistics partners to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for improvement and cost savings
- Develop and maintain metrics to measure logistics performance and identify areas for improvement
Requirements:
- Excellent at Building Loads in TMS, and utilizing DAT Load Board postings
- Proven experience in resolving and recovering shipment issues, tracking and tracing, and customer service via email and phone
- Knowledgeable in Freight Scheduling, Load Building, and using portals.
