      This apprenticeship is part of Northwell Health's Autism at Work hiring efforts. Autistic or similarly neurodivergent candidates are encouraged to apply. Apprentices may have the opportunity for full-time employment upon successful completion of the 12-week apprenticeship program.



      Pay Rate: $20/hour



      Position Summary



      Support Digital Experience Solutions team in creating software solutions and systems. Performs related clerical support duties such as data entry, preparing reports, and organizing and maintaining team documents.



      Responsibilities

      • Contribute to software development projects including the creation of dashboards on engineering metrics*



      • Create proof-of-concept applications as needed under the supervision of a senior engineer or manager*



      • Learn and follow agile development methodologies, with training provided*



      • Track completion of task status *



      • Attend virtual team meetings when requested by manager*

      Required Experience and Qualifications



      • High School Diploma or equivalent, required

      • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering or related area, preferred

      • Ability to work independently with clear instructions and deliver results of expected deliverables

      • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally

      • Ability to assess information, identify patterns or trends, and use sound judgement to support effective decision-making and problem-solving

      • Experience with using MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

      • Experience with Tableau or PowerBI, preferred

      • Previous experience programming in one of the following languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, C#, Java, or C++, preferred

      • Familiarity with at least one source control repository system (preferably Git), preferred
