• Searching for a Test Engineer in NC,SC, GA, AL, TX. 

      The Test Engineer is responsible for lab systems, networks, data acquisition, instrumentation and ensuring calibrations are set to applicable standards.

       

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Troubleshoots and investigates the analysis of problems relating to the design and operations of the test cells.
      • Verify laboratory equipment is current with respect to calibration.
      • Assist with designing systems for lab or other productions functions.
      • Set up products for test and perform all necessary steps to conduct prescribed and specialized tests.
      • Investigate and troubleshoot test equipment related problems and opportunities, document findings and recommend corrective/improvement changes to Design Engineering.
      • Design and upkeep of lab data acquisitions systems and support test data management.
      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field. 
      • Experience with test equipment, lab systems, process controls and associated processes.
      • Knowledge of instrumentation related to refrigeration and gas combustion equipment. 
      • Demonstrated ability or formal training in LabVIEW or similar programming software for test automation.
      • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions and procedures.
      • Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills.
      • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with attention to detail and accuracy.
      • Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
      • Demonstrated ability to work well with others is a matrix team environment.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Accreditation for ANSI and/or UL gas related certification and demonstrated ability to complete certification submittal packages preferred.
      • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, six sigma, Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA), AutoCad, Pro-E, PLC’s and controls. 
      • Experience with Pro-E is desired.
      • Experience in working with governing certification agencies preferred.
