Machinist Set-Up Technician - Direct Hire

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Machinist Set-Up Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating machinery to ensure quality, quantity, and efficiency standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate tools, machinery, and equipment according to instructions and specifications.
• Select, place, and secure tools as needed.
• Place and secure work pieces in the proper machine table, holding device, or other suitable surface using clamps and wrenches.
• Verify the quality performance of each machine by observing its operation.
• Adjust necessary controls to regulate machines' performance and inspect tooling for damage or wear, making repairs or replacements as necessary.
• Determine whether machinery is functioning properly based on specifications for expectations such as fixtures, cutting speeds, or feed rates.
• Report any issues or problems to the immediate supervisor.
• Act as a department communicator during status meetings, management updates, and shift changes.
• Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.
• E nsure work is done safely, consistently, and meets quality standards.
• Identify, tag, and remove non-conforming materials.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork in a timely manner.
• Communicate with other departments as necessary.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Adhere to all company rules and policies.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
